![]() ![]() Anyway yeah, Fracture Hills sucks pretty bad imo. And on top of all this, they use the Idol Springs music which I always felt went better with that level than this one. I swear that shit takes me so long to figure out every time I play. It becomes even more frustrating with the worst aspect of the level in my opinion, the fucking gem box that you need to supercharge a completely different path to get to. Which should theoretically be better than the linear format, but the supercharge challenge is kind of a bitch unless you’re really familiar with the level. ![]() However, the layout is just one big open space and set up so that you really have no idea where anything is in relation to anything else. I do think the color scheme and the scenery are very pretty. Then you have to deal with them even more with the alchemist challenge and the headbash challenge which are both also super irritating and take forever to complete. Speaking of earthshapers, I hate how you have to basically jump and charge at the same time so that they don’t hit you, and they require like 10 hits to push them into the lava. It’s funny that the earthshapers stoned them because they were annoyed with the bagpipe music because…it *was* actually really annoying lol. It’s a shame because I really like the fauns that talk like valley girls, but of course most of your interaction is with the annoying as shit satyrs that you have to free every single time you return to the level. Due to the limitations of Bentley’s controls, each area he is played in (particularly this one) is flat and lame and boring, and like two rooms long because who could ever be bothered to spend more time billowing one big step at a time than across two rooms? Lol I never look forward to being *forced* to complete this level in order to progress in the game. ![]() You pretty much have to square in front of something or an enemy before attacking it, and the fan move you use to hit the gongs is so pointless that it is literally NEVER USED AGAIN in any Bentley minigame beyond his homeworld. It usually takes roughly 15 minutes to complete Bentley’s homeworld in its entirety, but Sheila could probably get it done in 5. One time I was reading online and someone described his controls as being like those of a tank, and ho my god is this accurate. But Bentley is sooooo clunky and aggravating to control almost as much as Agent 9. This post has been edited by Cocoxrosie:, 09:49:44 PMĪgain, the addition of the new playable characters to the game was a positive one, and while Agent 9 was actively annoying, I kinda liked Bentley as a character, and none of his minigames are terribly tedious besides maybe the boxing match. I will try to update as often as possible but I'm super busy as hell with my internship and have just been wanting to START this for so long, but I hope you'll stick around and discuss this with me because this series is among my favorites of all time! This ranking will not be including speedway levels, boss levels, bonus worlds, Sparx worlds, or homeworlds (If by some miracle anyone gives a shit, maybe I'll rank them separately later). Good afternoon and thank you for joining me in this endeavor of mine in which I will rank all 55 original Spyro PS1 levels, in honor of the upcoming release of the Reignited Trilogy.
